Excellent commentary Danny
At this stage of the game, delivering results has to be the litmus test that decides whether or not you get to sit at the table.

Those that can, deliver results. Those that can't increase followers. Yes?

The life cycle is a work in progress... but progress it shall.

Sxx

PS - How's burlington? does it miss me? London definitely misses you.

lol, Danny that was sweet. thanx for making it clear it all comes down to just being ourselves when connecting to each other. Open conversation, bringing it all to the table and trying to find good solutions to genuine problems.

Client: I'd like to work with you on a social media campaign.

Consultant: Excellent, what are you looking for?

Client: Result A, return B and sales C.

Consultant: Very good choice, sir - and we can help with that for sure.

Client: Great. And we can measure that?

Consultant: Of course. We have our wibbly wobbly measuring tape with us, that tells us everything you want to hear. It's in our hotch potch metrics box.

Or something along those lines... ;-)

I'm wrong! Facebook has seen an incremental 10 million new members join FB since their big announcements at F8. Interesting...

Hey John! Thanks for stopping by... and for the presentation yesterday! Very smart and will be super interesting to watch it play out!

If the marketers are no longer in control... is the ad model broke? If the ad model is broke then how does it get fixed?

Couldn't agree more Shannon. It's all about offering value because the marketers are no longer in control. And it's something I hope to prove in my little experiment tomorrow! Terrific to finally meet you yesterday as well - hope to see you at the next Social Media Monday event.

And this just in... for those that are leaving Facebook... heh! This just gets more interesting. Hmmm... I feel a backlash coming on.

Hey Stacey,

I can fully appreciate that. Facebook connects people and it does that really well. Twitter is a different model and offers different value although some would argue it doesn't even do that.

I'm intrigued by Facebook's recent shift.. it's new business model - replace the website. Shop, refer, buy, comment, like, recruit, fly, from Facebook.

Succeed or fail, there will be a ridiculous amount of opportunity as a result and a definitive turn made in the world of social technology.

Thanks for stopping by.
