Before I share yet another story about smart pants types who get my respect - let me start with this: Living in this space takes some balls. It requires you to take a stand. To say your piece with conviction. Your authentic self will be far more respected and received than the wishy washy amongst us. It doesn’t matter if the entire world does not agree with you… actually I think you’d prefer they didn’t… how does that saying go “if you’re loved by all, you stand for nothing” – anyway, my point is this. Those who pick a soap box, get their fine selves up on it and speak with conviction will fare well not only in this space… but in life.
Interesting little side bar – could the Social Media manifestation be the epitomy of what real life should look, feel and be like? Noodle that while I bring your attention to Highroad Communications.
They have evaluated this Social Media space and have collectively decided on a stand. Read their stance on Social Media here:

What balls. What brilliance. What a bunch of friggin cool people. Why? Smart marketers follow the consumer… and your consumers are living it up in this Social Media space… Business Week did an article on SM recently – they’re quoted as saying “Catch Up or Catch ya later”. SM is now officially part of the UK curriculm. Time magazine 2006 reported the person of the year to be you. You control the information age… and that people… was three years ago. hello? Wake-ee wake-ee! Time magazine recently launched thier mag via RSS! <applause>!
It is the evolution of conversation. Alrighty… I’m off to the gym!
