That’s the working title of my book. Chapter 3 will probably be called “Conversations with 27a”.
I’ve just returned from an amazing time in Paris France. My mother, who lives in Dublin Ireland, met up with me for a few days and it was absolutely brilliant. We must have walked 15km a day through the heart of Paris. Sat along the Seine, people watched around Notre Dame, and drank $35 worth of green tea and perrier over the course of one hour, that’s equal to one tea vert <pour moi> and one boitte de l’eau <pour mon mere>. HAH!
I observe a lot. When in Paris, I observed how posh the street people are, the woman in this pic is absolutely gorgeous up close. Truly. I observed the pace of their culture, the fashion <I bought several pairs of Harim/MC Hammer trousers>, their mobile technology and at a strain due to my french being less than good, their social networking trends. If I had to sum up their social networking in two words, they would be; sex and glam. Interesting. Have a look at SkyRock.com – they network similar to us North Americans – no surprise there. But the social networking platforms they use, don’t just enable their users to collaborate or converse… they enbale them to become v-lebrities. <Virtual Celebrities! Yes, I did just make that up>
What is going on with the Personal Brand? Dan Schawbel has written a book – Me 2.0 – I will be reading it this week. I’ve recently hooked up with @SteveSaylor to reinvent my space online. I’m putting an end to TheRenaissanceEffect and will shortly be going live with www.ShannonBoudjema.com – my mom asked me why. I told her that my entrepreneurial spirit in this digital world meant that my personal brand was kind of like my currency. I couldn’t imagine not having one.
So I’m writing a book, just sold my house, am flat out at work – Maritz Canada is doing some very cool things in the world of Social Media. I should know… I’m dead center of it all, and if that weren’t enough, I am also in the middle of evolving my personal brand.
Need to pack some boxes… but not till after I’ve had my second coffee for the day. I know I shouldn’t… but I’m still on Paris time.
